Los Angeles, CA — Celebrated singer-songwriter Andy Stochansky has released his long-awaited solo album, Poetry of Birds [ENCI Records], a deeply intimate collection of songs that explore the wonder and fragility of life’s quietest moments. Known for his poetic lyricism and heartfelt storytelling, the Canada-born, LA-based artist strips everything back to organic instrumentation, warm melodies, and raw emotional honesty, offering a record that feels like a quiet exhale in a noisy world.

"It’s easy to be overwhelmed by the modern world," Stochansky shares. "I love technology as much as anyone else, but I wanted to show some respect to nature. It can teach us everything we need. Poetry of Birds is a reminder to look at the beauty of the simple things around us."

A multi-talented musician, Stochansky first rose to prominence as Ani DiFranco’s touring drummer before launching his own critically acclaimed solo career. Over the years, he’s penned chart-topping hits like Shannon Noll’s “Shine,” collaborated with Goo Goo Dolls, Dragonette, and Lola Lennox, and contributed music to major films and television series, including The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1. His 2020 project, White Elephant Orchestra, earned widespread praise and airplay on NPR’s World Café, KCRW, and KEXP.

With Poetry of Birds, Stochansky returns to his roots for the first time in nearly two decades, crafting songs that lean on simplicity, connection, and human stories. From the reflective title track—a tender tribute to those who shaped his worldview—to the anthemic “Beautiful Sky,” which encourages listeners to disconnect from digital overload, and the uplifting “Oxygen,” a promise of friendship and support, the album is filled with moments of vulnerability and hope.
