Addison Wall releases “Somewhere In Between” EP
Introducing Addison Wall
Debut EP: Somewhere In Between
Feature Track: Post-Encounter Blues
BIO:
Addison Wall is a retrospective singer-songwriter, composer, and guitarist who is set on exploring the sounds of the past within a modern context. He draws sonic influence from old-time era swing and blues music, but approaches his songwriting with the style of post-revival folk artists like Randy Newman, Paul Simon, and Bob Dylan. Addison’s combination of influences gives his songs a timeless quality that often leaves first-time listeners feeling nostalgic and sentimental. Lyrically, he focuses on the anxiety-ridden everyday life of a young man under a satirical lens. Combined with vintage aesthetics, these lyrics often yield strange and unique additions to Addison’s discography. Listeners are usually treated to apocalyptic jazz tunes or sarcastic folk blues; however, his catalogue is balanced out by his softer, acoustic ballads. These songs pay homage to the artists of the past while providing an outlet for his artistry. Addison’s debut EP “Somewhere in Between” releases on September 20th, 2025. This 5-track EP bounces between genres, displaying Addison's diverse sonic influences. Apart from his solo act, Addison is a member of an alternative-rock trio called “Magpie Mill.”
"Post-Encounter Blues started as a storytelling exercise but grew into a folk-rock tale about encountering an alien in the woods. I wanted to write a Dylan-esque blues that focuses on surrealism and pokes fun at societal expectations for young adults without taking itself too seriously." - Addison Wall
For listeners who like Bob Dylan, Joel Plaskett, and John Prine.
