Bettina BCB releases remix project “the afterparty”
A quote from Bettina BCB about the remix project:
I had the idea for the afterparty back in the summer, just before we released Messy Girl, and that end of summer feral energy was right at the front of everybody’s mind. Me and my manager were talking about how everybody releases a Christmas cover at the end of the year, and I remember saying it should be more of a party instead, like an afterparty for the year, and we were just reflecting back on what this year has meant and how it’s really changed things for me as an artist, as well as how grateful I am to get to work with so many amazingly talented people along the way. And somehow in this conversation, the idea for the afterparty was born, to bring in as many of our friends as possible and just really let loose and let them have fun making their version of the songs they’ve all been so supportive of. I’m so happy with how it turned out and I’m obsessed with the new versions of everything, I honestly don’t think I could pick a favourite if I tried!
Lead single quote:
I’m so excited to link up with LA-based rapper Huggyduzit on ‘Whoopsie Daisy (u up? version)’ for my new remix project ‘the afterparty’! I knew as soon as I heard Huggy’s song ‘Say Yes’ that he’d be the perfect fit for what we were imagining for this new version, and I’m obsessed with how it turned out. I’m so grateful that the original release of ‘Whoopsie Daisy’ got so much love, and I’m hoping you guys love this new version with an extra serving of scandal and salaciousness even more!
