SON Estrella Galicia x Dot To Dot Present Festival Warm Up Show At Oslo, Hackney

This year sees premium Spanish beer Estrella Galicia team up with Dot To Dot Festival for the first time. SON Estrella Galicia is the musical arm of the family owned, independent Estrella Galicia beer brand specialising in creating unforgettable music and beer experiences since 2009.
With the multi-venue festival known for providing a platform for the best new music, the partnership is set to power the city editions in Bristol (24 May) and Nottingham (25 May).
It all kicks off with a Dot To Dot warm up show in London with punk duo BIG SPECIAL + support at Oslo, Hackney on 5 May. The night will also feature one of SON Estrella Galicia’s trademark Beer workshops.
BIG SPECIAL - championed by the likes of BBC 6 Music, Rolling Stone (UK), DIY, NME, DORK and more - explore the bleak and beautiful honesty of a nation in an ever growing state of depression through personal experience, poetry, perspective as well as varied and creative music.
Theirs are songs of hope, and despair, and more hope – fight songs for a world gone wrong. A visceral assault on softer dispositions; a collision of skullcrunching guitars, head-wobbling synths and face-belting drums. All coupled with darkly humorous observations of personal mental struggle in a time of social depression and anxiety.
Since 2009, SON Estrella Galicia has created events that offer a twist on the traditional concert experience in Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Uruguay and the US. First coming to the UK in 2022 they have since established themselves as a key fixture on the gig calendar. In this, they share an ethos with Dot To Dot in being a vital platform for supporting independent artists and venues. Their second Soundhood event in London will take place on September 27th, across various Hackney venues, including Oslo.

Even more so considering that before the festival we are going to organise this concert by one of the most promising bands on the scene, Big Special, in a new venue in London for SON Estrella Galicia, Oslo Hackney. We will soon announce new events to continue offering the English public disruptive experiences for music and beer lovers.”
Horrors, Fat Dog, Sprints, Lord Apex, Snooper, Sextile and Master Peace and many more are playing Dot To Dot across multiple venues for the city takeovers on 24-25 May 2025.
