Black Orchid Empire Release New Single ‘The Labyrinth’

BLACK ORCHID EMPIRE create huge, memorable rock music that combines heavy-hitting savagery with intense melodic beauty. Their technical, fearlessly complex grooves and gigantic sing-along choruses have already earned them a widespread fanbase. A ferociously tight live band, BLACK ORCHID EMPIRE have toured Europe and the UK extensively, supporting Skunk Anansie, HED P.E, INME, Cellar Darling and Black Map as well as festival slots at Download, Standon Calling, Tech Fest, Mangata Festival, Teddy Rocks and Planet Rockstock. Following on from album releases with Long Branch Records and Season Of Mist, the band recently signed with Year Of The Rat Records landing support from BBC Radio 1, Spotify, Apple Music, Knotfest, PROG, and Kerrang and now release fourth single ‘The Labyrinth’ on the 7th November 2025.

“This is the fourth single from our upcoming Mythology-inspired album, written from the point of view of the famous Ancient Greek Minotaur. The story is one of those legends that everyone is vaguely familiar with, but it’s actually INCREDIBLY dark - the twisted morality of it really stood out to us when we started reading up on it. Lyrically it’s exploring what it means to be the monster - in a horrific reality you never chose. The riffs are slow, with a slightly stoner doom aesthetic that we really enjoyed experimenting with. Can’t wait for people to check out the middle section too, it’s one of our favourites so far!” - Paul, Black Orchid Empire
