Keeping up with their defiant, indie rock ‘n’ roll backbone, Broken Colours are back with their latest single ‘Before The Sun’. Revisiting mental health, the single takes a no-holds-barred approach to songwriting with its gritty, indie-tinged craftsmanship, and most importantly, its heart-wrenching, deep-cut poetry.

As a stripped-back, slow-burning, acoustic guitar provides a backbone for the single's honest, sincere lyricism, ‘Before The Sun’ strikes a chord as a resonant anthem, calling for the answers to life’s unanswered questions. A track of two halves, the single keeps the band's indie foundations in check, once again matching a gritty authenticity with an attitude that goes deeper than the surface layer.

Commenting on the artistry embedded into the single, the band explain, “Before the Sun,  this song is a simple notion and felt by all.  Feeling overworked? Underappreciated? Does it feel like you're taking one step forward and 30 back? This song is about balance as we all burn ourselves out, more so in this new ever so ever-evolving world. This song is to remind you that you are only human,  and there is hope still.”

Hailing from High Wycombe, Broken Colours are a four-piece indie outfit who draw on the funked-up, rocky sensibilities to deliver truly electrifying performances. Taking cues from the likes of Jamiroquai and Arctic Monkeys, the band burst onto the scene with their acclaimed self-titled EP in 2016.

Touring the UK, Denmark and Italy, the band has shared the stage with the likes of The Blockheads, Jack Bugg, The Zutons and The Subways, reinforcing their must-see dynamic live shows. Looking forward to 2025, the band look to reassert themselves as a creative force to be reckoned with, with new music on the horizon.
