BIO:
With their signature blend of grit and heart, the Brother Bicker Band deliver “The Good Road”, a driving anthem inspired by the completion of the city’s ring road in their hometown of Calgary. Written as a celebration of progress and staying true to your path, the track captures both the spirit of resiliency and the simple beauty of the open highway.
The Brother Bicker Band is country rock, Canadian style. The Calgary roots rockers describe their sound as ‘Maple Whiskey Rock n Roll’ - the lovechild of Southern Rock, blues and country with a cold shot of the Great White North. Fresh off the release of their new album, Another Kind of Train in May 2025 and three 2025 Calgary (YYC) Music Award nominations, the band offers this soon to be classic highway rocker.
This song was written after the opening of a new ring road extension in the band’s hometown and celebrates the freedom of the open road and staying “straight and true” to yourself.
Recorded at Evergreen Sound with producer Mark Troyer, with support from Write-On Songwriting, the song brings together the band’s seven-member lineup: Jeremy Hrdlicka (vocals, acoustic), Tom Mogan (guitars, vocals), Claire Wilkes (vocals), Jennele Coulson (vocals), Ben Ellard (keys), Jim Duncan (bass), and Taylor Miles (drums). Together, they create a rich and layered sound that feels both timeless and universal.
