Bruce Mountain Band Pay Tribute to Pinball Podcasts with New Single
Bruce Mountain Band have released a brand new track titled “Straight Down the Middle”, written in support of two of their favourite pinball YouTube channels and podcasts—SDTM and Flip N Out Pinball.
“We’re all pinball fanatics,” says frontman Tyson Bruce. “We play daily, and we wouldn’t enjoy the game half as much without the insight and entertainment we get from these shows. This song is our way of giving back.”
Recorded, mixed, and mastered in July 2025 at Bruce Mountain Studios in Corona, California, the track sees Bruce take the reins on lead vocals and all instruments, with Rob Walker providing backing vocals. The track was produced and engineered by Bob Moon.
Based in Corona, Bruce Mountain Band operate more like a collective than a traditional lineup—members change from song to song, depending on who’s available in the studio at the time. Many of their songs are created spontaneously, capturing the energy of the moment.
They’ve released two full-length albums under the Bruce Mountain Band name—“Another Day Lost” and “Covid 19 Quarantine”—with earlier releases appearing under previous monikers Buffalo Chrome (2008) and Will of the Flesh (2015).
Right now, Bruce Mountain Band are focusing on releasing singles every one to three months, which will later be compiled into a new full-length album.
