Rising UK heavyweights CARTOONS CAN’T DIE are set to unleash their highly anticipated new album, Rebirth, on Friday 6th February. Already sparking comparisons to giants like Whitechapel, Jinjer, Lamb of God, Periphery, Devin Townsend, and even Rammstein, CARTOONS CAN’T DIE refuse to be confined to a single genre. Solidifying their lineup last year, the band is made up of Mac Gaisford (vocals), Maria Megally (vocals), Dan “Danny 5” Berber (guitar), and Ryan Shepherd (drums). Together, they are united by a clear mission: to push modern heavy music into uncharted territory, and to forge a sound without boundaries.
A major hallmark of the band is their dual-vocal dynamic — Mac’s raw, harsh fury matched with Maria’s soaring, melodic power. Vocalist Mac reflects on the creation of the new album: “The record has been put together in the very best way — every song feels different, but it all connects. There’s no one genre running it, just whatever felt right in the moment. It’s intense, sometimes weird, sometimes straight-up brutal. That’s the point though — it’s supposed to feel alive.”
