Dantiti shares single ‘Big Big Tinz’
Nigerian-born artist Dantiti is back with his latest single, “Big Big Tinz”, a vibrant testament to his journey through Afrobeats, Afrofusion, rap, and R&B. Known for blending infectious grooves with heartfelt storytelling, Dantiti continues to carve out a unique space in contemporary African music.
Raised in Benin City, Dantiti fell in love with music at an early age, rapping along to Notorious B.I.G. and dreaming of becoming a DJ. His teenage years were marked by a deep dive into beat-making, a passion that followed him from Nigeria to Ghana and eventually the UK, where he studied Marketing at the University of Wolverhampton.
In 2017, he founded iDope Records, a family-run label emphasizing independence and creative control. Early collaborations with acclaimed producer Princetonbeatz in Lagos helped shape his signature sound, blending the energy of Afrobeat legends like Fela Kuti with his own reflective tone.
Dantiti’s debut single “Sweet Carolina” (2021) introduced his distinctive voice, followed by “Yemisi”, a melodic Afrobeats love song that offered a more personal glimpse into his artistry. His first EP, released in 2025 under iDope Records, traced his evolution as both an artist and producer, showcasing his versatility across genres.
“Big Big Tinz” was born from a spark of creative energy. Dantiti explains, “Leo Pynk sent me the beat, which was originally made for Davido. When Davido didn’t take it, I knew it was meant for me. I wrote and recorded the song in my apartment studio, and after sending it back to Leo, he loved it and requested to be featured. That’s how ‘Big Big Tinz’ came to life.” Produced, mixed, and mastered by Leo Pynk, the track pulses with optimism and the feeling that wherever life takes you, there’s always a rhythm to move to.
