Dublin post-funk quartet SCUSTIN are today proud to announce they will support fellow Dublin rockers Inhaler on their forthcoming October 2025 tour dates.

As a result, the band have also rescheduled their planned ‘Confessions Of A Pub Talker’ UK headline tour dates for Feb/Mar 2026 with original tickets still valid, and the new dates on sale now.

Last Friday, the band released their debut album Confessions Of A Pub Talker, which is out now via all good streaming services.

Recorded and produced by Richie Kennedy (The Murder Capital, RIDE, Interpol, Shame) at Black Mountain Studios, Confessions Of A Pub Talker is a thoroughly modern take on the concept record, telling the story of Larry, a barman in his mid-to-late 20s struggling to find his way amidst the social and economic uncertainties of modern Irish life.

With Confessions Of A Pub Talker, Scustin flip the stereotype of Irish drinking culture on its head. Rather than depicting the pub as a site of excess, they portray it as a communal refuge.

“We wanted to push back against the cliché,” they say. “The pub isn’t about getting locked. It’s about love, grief, business ideas, confessions—it’s all there. And Larry is the guy who sees it all.” Through Larry, Scustin weave stories full of heart and humour, turning each track into a snapshot of life in the public house, complete with its messy, magical humanity.

The album was preceded with a string of diverse single releases including ‘Charmer’, ‘The Ick (Don't Put Blackcurrant In That Pint Of Guinness)’, ‘I’m Never Flying With Ryanair Again’, ‘Our Regards’, and ‘Drinking Cans In A Field With Matt Damon’ which won high-profile fans in contemporaries Kojaque, Gurriers, Inhaler and Fontaines DC, and press coverage from Hot Press, Irish News, The Irish Mirror, Golden Plec, Nialler 9, Vanyaland, Louder Than War and more.

Tracks from the record have been added to Apple Music’s official New in Alternative and New in Rock playlists, with further support from The Thin Air, BBC Radio Ulster, RTÉ 2XM, Total Rock, Amazing Radio and more.

Hot off the back of a run of scintillating appearances at Wilderness Festival, Mutations, Electric Picnic, and shows alongside Confidence Man, Blossoms, and a support slot with Inhaler at a packed out St. Anne’s Park in May, Scustin also appeared at SXSW London and blew the roof off the Puc Fada stage Beyond The Pale earlier this year.

The band played a special album launch show at Phoenix Bar, Dalymount Park (home of Bohemian FC) over the weekend.

Appearances at Sŵn Fest, Wid Paths, Live at Leeds In The City and select 2025 UK dates are also on sale now (see below for full listings).
