When I finished the song years later, I was completely in love and much more confident in my voice and perspective.”

“Private Star” offers a taste of Richards’ upcoming sophomore album, set for release in summer 2026, a project she describes as instinctive and liberating—exploring alternative R&B, dark pop, and cinematic soul without boundaries. “It’s so freeing to not be bound by structure or genre,” she shares. “I feel like I’m creating my best and most authentic art yet.”
