'Bannau Brycheiniog' is a Welsh-language version of the Supergrass album track 'Brecon Beacons' (Life on Other Planets, 2002). According to Ffredi,
"The region has reclaimed its original name and I thought someone should do the same for this excellent song!" The video was created by Emmy-nominated Welsh filmmaker Joby Newson and features witches, their young victim and a dodgy policeman set against the stunning backdrop of Maen Llia standing stone in the Bannau. Ffredi and his band will be touring around Wales this summer, with shows including Elysium Swansea, Bank Vault Aberystwyth, Workhouse Party Llanfyllin and more, and a launch party in their home town, Llanidloes.

Mae 'Bannau Brycheiniog' yn fersiwn Cymraeg trac albwm Supergrass 'Brecon Beacons' (Life on Other Planets, 2002).

Yn ôl Ffredi,"Mae'r ardal wedi adennill ei enw gwreiddol, a meddylais y dylai rhywun wneud yr un peth am y gân wych 'ma!"

Mi gaeth y fideo ei greu gan gwneuthurwr ffilm Cymreig a enwebyd am Emmy, Joby Newson, ac yn cynnwys gwrachod, eu dioddefwr ifanc a heddwas amheus, a wedi'i leoli yn erbyn cefndir godigog Maen Llia yn y Bannau.Bydd Ffredi a'i fand yn teithio dros Cymru yn yr haf, gyda sioeau gan gynnwys Elysium Abertawe, Bank Vault Aberystwyth, Parti Workhouse Llanfyllin a mwy, a pharti lansio yn eu tref enedigol, Llanidloes.

Bio 'Ffredi Blino'

Welsh-Aussie indie act Ffredi Blino has released two albums of bilingual, genre-defying tunes to widespread acclaim. His singles 'Honolulu' and 'Fruitfly' received airplay from Cerys Matthews on BBC 6 Music and 'Dwwwi' reached #1 on Rhys Mwyn's 2021 Siart Amgen (Alternative Chart) on Radio Cymru.

Ffredi has performed live at festivals and venues around Wales both as a 3-piece band and as a soloist. Highlights include Brecon Jazz Fringe, In The Sticks, KINGSfest, The Lost Arc Rhayader, Cwrw Carmarthen, Elysium Swansea, and Bank Vault Aberystwyth.

Ffredi Blino's new single and video "Bannau Brycheiniog" (out 23/05/25) is a Welsh-language version of the Supergrass album track "Brecon Beacons" (Life on Other Planets, 2002). Ffredi's explanation: "The area has reclaimed its original name, and I thought someone should do the same for the song!" .
