Bathed in golden light and the hum of the open road, Meanjin/Brisbane-based country and folk artist Georgia Scarlett unveils a warming and inspiring new single, ‘Finding My Destination’. Blending country pop with heartfelt folk charm, this track arrives alongside the announcement of her debut album 'Rhythm of Life', out November 28.

First heard in 2024 with the release of her debut single and album title track, ‘Rhythm of Life’, Georgia Scarlett began charting a course through love, loss and the quiet power of time. It set the tone for a body of work rich with reflection and resilience, followed by ‘Cursive’, ‘Can’t Stop Time’, ‘Bookworm’, and most recently ‘More Than A Smile’.

Now leading the next chapter, ‘Finding My Destination’ arrives as a breath of fresh air, celebrating new experiences and relationships. Warm country pop with an earthy heartbeat, it rolls forward on acoustic strums, subtle electric guitar riffs, banjo, harmonica and steady percussion. Glowing with golden, sunlit energy that feels like the open road, Georgia's voice shines with the strength and soul of a traveller finding her way.

Beneath its uplifting melody lies a message about understanding that life is not about arriving but about continuing to grow, to shift and to uncover new corners of yourself along the way. Georgia shares:

“For me, the song also mirrors this stage in my musical journey. Creating this album has been a process of discovering my sound and image as an emerging artist, finding myself in a very busy time of my life, and this is just the beginning.”

Accompanied by her guitar, a set of harmonicas, and her big, beautiful personality, Georgia Scarlett has performed at festivals including Gympie Song Muster and Neurum Creek Festival, supported Little Quirks, The Audreys, and Elephant Sessions, and toured through India. Her work has even caught the attention of Keith Urban, describing her as “in a lane of her own”. She also hosts From The Roots on Brisbane’s 4ZZZ, spotlighting the best folk, country and roots artists across Australia.
