Georgia unveils new sober anthem “Be Free” – watch video here

Praise for “Wanna Play” and “Get Over It”:
“Channels prime Depeche Mode” Clash
“A high-octane dopamine hit of a track” DIY
“An energetic punk-electro track” Dork
“A sugar-rush of distorted textures and euphoric synth-pop” Mystic Sons

Today, Georgia unveils her third new track in five months with the bubbling electro-funk “Be Free”. Written and produced by Georgia and her frequent collaborator Mark Ralph (Years & Years, Daniel Avery, Hot Chip), “Be Free” showcases Georgia’s deft and versatile studio skills as well as being a sure-fire sober anthem.

The video for “Be Free” – directed by Spike Silverton – is like a tongue-in-cheek episode of CBeebies, albeit one with a life-sized pint.

Marking three years of her own sobriety, Georgia says of “Be Free”: “At the time of writing this tune, I wanted there to be an anthem for people who went out and didn't drink or do drugs but still could be on the same wavelength as everyone else. The bassline was very much inspired by Hudson Mohawke / Rustie-era electronic music; I grew up on those beatmakers.”

“Be Free” comes after recent singles “Get Over It” featuring Frost Children and “Wanna Play”.
