Glasgow Hyper-Pop Artist Xoom Xoom Drops Effervescent New Single 'Strobes'

The brainchild of Glasgow based producer, Xoom Xoom is creating his own brand of technicolour hyper-pop that feels a far cry from the often rain-sodden streets of his hometown.

Drawing his influences from the disparate likes Jai Paul, Jamie xx, Frank Ocean and Bon Iver, he is as much at home splicing pitch-shifted guitars between booming 808, as he is creating nostalgic, dreamy landscapes with dulcet vocals. The result is an idiosyncratic brand of pop music that’s easy to fall in love with and impossible to ignore.

Xoom Xoom’s latest offering ‘Strobes’ is two and a half minutes of fizzy and glitchy electronics that sounds like a sugar rush feels and is unlike anything you’re likey to hear this week.
