Groove Death Metallers ARHAT Drop New Single and Official Lyric Video For "Omniscient"

The single "Omniscient" opens a cycle of songs dedicated to the Sumerian-Akkadian civilization. This is a modern interpretation of the first literary work in the history of mankind "The One Who Saw Everything...", better known as the "Epic of Gilgamesh".

This literary work for the first time in the world highlights sacred themes - attempts to find immortality, the formation of friendship, the loss of a loved one and dualism.

The hero goes through a series of trials with the goal of achieving eternal life. But in the end he understands that eternal life shows through human actions, which remain the rememberance after death.

The source of inspiration for this lyrics was also the works of the writer Zecharia Sitchin. He is a well-known supporter of paleocontact, and the author of such terms as "Nibiru" and "Anunnaki". Taking into consideration his works, the "Epic of Gilgamesh" acquires new meanings and interpretations.  Perhaps the famous work was a true chronicle of that time.

Natalya Androsova, vocalist of the Berlin-based post-black metal band Machukha, is featured on the track, performing vocal parts.

The track's arrangements combine a large number of ethnic instruments and cinematic sound design. The oriental atmosphere is emphasized by the Turkish setar, baglama and percussion instruments.

The story of the cover for the single was a fragment of a cylinder seal, which depicts the struggle of the main character Gilgamesh and his friend Enkidu against the mythical creature Humbaba.
