Hatif makes dark electronic music for fans of Moderat, Zaho de Sagazan, and Boy Harsher, blending melodic synths and Middle Eastern modal harmonies into emotionally charged, minimalist compositions.

Their new album Small States is a tightly sequenced collection of nine tracks built on repetition, tension, and contrast; mechanical yet expressive, dark-toned but melodic. Lyrically and musically, it explores fragile spaces between people and ideas: power, proximity, identity, and ambiguity.

The album includes the singles “Direction,” “Take the Bait,” “Dreams Are Alive,” and “Broken Bucket.”
