Irish artist ARREN releases hopeful and cinematic pop rock single 'Broken'

Broken' delivers a powerful message of solidarity, reminding listeners that they are not alone.

DUBLIN, 22nd April - ‘Broken' is a hopeful, reflective and bittersweet folk-infused pop rock hit that delivers a powerful message of solidarity. With his new exploration of orchestral elements, ARREN embraces a cinematic sound and poignant lyrics to connect with those struggling with mental health challenges like depression and anxiety. 'Broken' reminds listeners that they are not alone - that there is a community in shared struggles, and together, healing is possible. Produced by industry veteran Gary Duncan of Red Lake Studios, 'Broken' features a number of performers including Duncan himself, Toby Shane Roys, and FER. The single is available on all streaming platforms now. 

To celebrate the release of Broken, ARREN will take the stage as a featured artist at an intimate acoustic show at Sin É on April 19th, alongside Gabriel Bond and Cian Airoldi. ARREN has also announced his highly anticipated return to the iconic Dublin venue, Whelan's, on June 21st, where he will deliver a full-band performance in honor of his brand-new single, with special guest Kevin Plunkett supporting.

ARREN is a Dublin-based, Clare/Limerick-born artist who blends the anthemic scale of iconic ’90s and 2000s pop-rock with the intimacy of singer-songwriter. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Radiohead, Oasis, Mumford & Sons, Hudson Taylor, and U2, his sound is recognized for "combining vintage sounds with modern-day execution." From sold-out live shows to critically praised releases, ARREN has cemented his place as an artist to watch over the last year.

Commenting on the single, ‘Broken’, ARREN said, “During the pandemic, my mental health suffered greatly—like so many others. Broken is one of the songs that helped save me. To be honest, if I hadn’t been able to channel my thoughts into my music, I don’t know if I’d be here today.
