Jean Caffeine shares single “l Always Cry on Thursday"

“l Always Cry on Thursday"  (Flak Records) is the next single from Generation Jean, which will come out on LP/CD and streaming services on Sept. 5. " Thursday " is retro pop with a drum machine and a synth hook.  If Petula Clark or Dusty Springfield had a baby with Prince and they birthed  a song (that might not conjure up the right image) it might sound  like  "I Always Cry on Thursday"

It has a lot of feels and is especially relatable  for anyone who's held a M-F job and felt like they just couldn't get it all done. Thursday was the day I felt most overwhelmed. By Friday everyone was smiling.

For fans of early Everything But the Girl, Aimee Mann, Shannon and the Clams,  Prince, Lucinda Williams, Eurythmics, Beth Orton, Dusty Springfield, Petula Clarke, Dionne Warwick., Being Dead, Cindy Lauper.

Engineered and co-produced by Lars Goranssen who also played the synth, drum machine and bass guitar. Guitars and backing vocals by Mike Trebilcock. (The Killjoys, Simply Saucer) Jean: lead and backing vocals, acoustic guitar, percussion and all the tears.

You can also listen and pre-order the LP or CD here.
