The tunes keep coming! Having released both his third solo album Harmonics as well as Neptunes, a collaborative EP with Kaitlyn Aurelia Smith last year, today, Joe Goddard is happy to announce his new EP, Kinetic.
A collection of five songs that are more club-centred than Harmonics, Kinetic features several guests including Dynamite MC, Ward 21’s SUKU and South London’s own, Pinty. Due for digital release on May 9th, the EP is more garage inspired and packs a punch full of vitality.
Goddard says of Kinetic: “This EP focuses on the club more than my album Harmonics did. Working with MCs like Dynamite, Suku and Pinty was a real pleasure as I have been a fan of all of them for many years. I have been playing these tracks whilst DJing for the last year. Seeing the resurgence of UK garage recently it felt like a good moment to work in that genre again as it has always been so close to my heart. Seeing it bloom around the world is so cool.”
The first track to be shared from the EP is “Image and Style” – featuring SUKU and Dynamite MC, it has flecks of jungle and gives big “Windows down, Systems up” energy – just in time for summer.

Elsewhere on the EP, “Ace” slows the pace down with vocals shared by Goddard and Pinty. Next track, “Flex” first appeared on Confidence Man’s FabricLive compilation, and with guest vocals from SUKU again, its beats nod to early-00s Scott Storch production. “Buffy” features Technology + Teamwork whilst “Hold Me Tight”, co-produced by Joe and ABSOLUTE. closes out proceedings.
