Jorge Wilson returns with sun-kissed song ‘You & I’

UK indie pop artist Jorge Wilson is back with his second single You & I out now, a track that oozes with trustworthy romance and vintage flair. Although You & I hones in heavy on the nostalgia vibe it also holds something new, within its pristine production is a sound that is somewhat familiar but at the same time completely unique. 

The song opens with a building intro that blooms into a colourful instrumental, guiding listeners into Wilson’s warm yet sharp vocals. His lyrics tell the story of two lovers navigating life together. It’s a joyful track that leads you wondering whether the song celebrates love, loss, or something in between.

Talking about You & I Jorge said “You & I has a real hazy summer vibe to it so it felt perfect as my second release, especially with the time of year. I really wanted it to land as a last-minute summer love song and I’m glad I managed that.”

Drawing inspiration from The Beach Boys and The Style Council, while weaving in touches of modern artists such as Mac DeMarco and The 1975, Wilson creates what he calls modern vintage - a sound that blends the past with the present in a way that is distinctly his own.

With just two singles under his belt, Wilson has already proven he holds the keys to his signature sound. You & I builds on the momentum of his debut single Falling in Love, offering a deeper glimpse into his artistry and cementing his reputation as one to watch.
