WHAT THE CRITICS ARE SAYING…

“just Min's sound is utterly refreshing, healing those that listen and shining a light on topics not usually given a platform. His stellar vocals and impeccable knack for storytelling is undeniably golden” - Wonderland

“Blending R&B, alt R&B, and indie pop, the artist [just Min] has already found his niche between genres, providing his versatility as well as his own flair… Inspired by Frank Ocean as an artist generally - alongside Lauv, Clairo, Joji, and Omar Apollo - it’s a fitting tie-in to just Min’s vision” - Notion

Molten, the debut EP from Korean-born artist and producer just Min, is a poignant exploration of identity, grief, and emotional rebirth. Written in the wake of intense personal upheaval—including the loss of his grandmother, the death of a close friend, and betrayal by those he trusted—the project captures the rawness of transformation in real time.

Drawing from his transitory life between Seoul and Hong Kong, just Min writes from the in-between: between cities, cultures, and evolving versions of himself. His sound—a blend of indie, bedroom pop, and soul-baring storytelling—echoes like a quiet confession over a late-night drive. There’s a cinematic intimacy to Molten, where every lyric feels lived-in, every melody steeped in memory.

Though deeply personal, the EP resonates with anyone navigating change, searching for meaning, or simply trying to make sense of who they are becoming. It’s a coming-of-age project shaped not by a single place or language, but by emotion itself—raw, complex, and utterly human.

On the release just Min shares, "I was 19 when it all hit at once. I lost my grandmother to Alzheimer’s. I found out my best friend and the girl I had been seeing were hooking up behind my back. Then, a close friend took his own life. I didn’t know how to process any of it — so I wrote. That’s how Molten was born. This EP is a reflection of two years that felt like hell, but also gave me something to hold on to. It’s the most honest I’ve ever been with my music. Every song is something I had to let go of — memories, people, versions of myself I couldn’t carry anymore. Molten is about learning to sit with the fire of transformation, even when it burns."

With over 600,000 Spotify streams and early praise from Wonderland and Notion Magazine, Molten positions just Min as a rising voice in alternative pop—one unafraid to sit in discomfort, speak in vulnerability, and find beauty in the spaces between.
