'Worry' introduces listeners to the evocative world of '1987', a record that blends the brooding synth textures of ‘80s UK new wave with cutting-edge modern rock. Frohlich’s signature style - drenched in emotional urgency, driving guitar hooks, and cinematic synth layers - is on full display in this compelling new single.

1987 explores themes of mental health, mortality, love, and human fragility through a retro-modern sonic lens. Across 10 tracks, Frohlich delves deep into personal struggles and cathartic realizations, creating music that feels both timeless and immediate. 'Worry' sets the tone - a darkly melodic anthem with heart-on-sleeve lyrics and a pulse that beats with both nostalgia and urgency.

For fans of Depeche Mode, The Cure, and modern rock acts that push genre boundaries, 'Worry' is a perfect bridge between past and present - a haunting yet hopeful opening chapter in the 1987 story.

'Worry' is available on all major streaming now via Golden Robot Records. Stay tuned for more details on the full 1987 album release coming soon.

Kurt Frohlich
It all started when he got his first KISS album at 6 years old ... and the rest just fell into place. Born in Canada, Kurt Frohlich started playing guitar at 16. He studied music in college and soon after began touring, which eventually led him to Las Vegas, where for the next 15 years he worked in various show bands, performed as a celebrity impersonator and led several rock groups. There he also found success with his original band, The Underground Rebels, whose songs were licensed by the UFC family – including the theme song for the hit show TapouT. Over the years, he has traveled the world with such acts as Marky Ramone (of The Ramones), Faster Pussycat and even did one-off with The Goo Goo Dolls.

Looking for new opportunities, Kurt relocated to Orlando in 2015, where he would put together new acts, write and record new original music and even dabble in commercial voiceover work. Then, in 2018, drummer Steve Riley (LA Guns, WASP), contacted Kurt to be the lead singer/guitarist for his version of LA Guns with original bassist Kelly Nickels. Riley’s LA Guns released the hard-rocking “Renegades” on Golden Robot Records in November 2020. Their second album, “The Dark Horse,” is scheduled for release in 2023. Devoted LA Guns fans have greeted Kurt with open arms, attributable no doubt to his respect for the ‘80s LA rock scene and his obvious admiration of the Guns sound. Says Riley, “[Kurt] brings his own style and attitude to the band.”

Though Kurt pulls from a deep well of experience and influence, he cut his teeth on ‘70s and ‘80s punk and rock-and-roll bands like The Ramones, The Stooges, The Sex Pistols, Dead Kennedys and The Clash. His love of showmanship and raw attitude shows in his adoration of KISS, Bowie and The Who. And his passion for songwriting manifests in his study of masters like Rufus Wainwright, Billy Joel and The Beatles.

Being a versatile full-time musician, Kurt is always writing and recording new original music. His latest solo project, “1977,” is set for release on Golden Robot Records. The album – written, performed and produced by Kurt – is soaked in the gritty punk and rock-and-roll sound of 1970s New York. It’s a sound that has shaped Kurt’s approach to songwriting and performing since his formative years, and the songs are as authentic as it gets.

Guitarist, lead vocalist, songwriter, performer, producer – Kurt Frohlich has made music and entertainment his life ... and he shows no sign of slowing down.
