London-based four-piece Le Bon Jams return with their latest dancefloor filler, ‘Spotlight’, out now via [PIAS] Électronique. The track marks the second offering from their highly anticipated debut EP, set for release in June 2025.
After a breakout 2024, which saw them earn support from tastemakers including Arielle Free, Jaguar and Jess Iszatt (BBC Radio 1), Mark Knight, Leftwing : Kody (KISS FM), TSHA, Don Diablo, and The Magician, Le Bon Jams return with their signature groovy sound, only this time ‘Spotlight’ brings a slightly darker feel in contrast to previous single ‘What U Need’, led by Laura Welsh’s impressive vocal range and a plethora of irresistible chord progressions.
When describing the single, the group have said, “Spotlight is kind of a mix of the club vibes from our earlier tracks, mixed with a fresh approach to our song writing. Darker, weirder, more introverted. The party is still going, but it’s a lot later now.
It’s all about that feeling when someone you’re into finally gives you their full attention — their spotlight, for the first time. We wanted the song to throw you off a bit right from the start, with those wonky chords that kind of make you feel dizzy. And when Laura sings about wanting a love that’s just out of reach, it feels really confessional — like she’s admitting something she probably shouldn’t, but can’t help putting out there.”

Joe Brown – Grammy-nominated producer, worked with Lapsley, Tkay Maidza, Gabriels, CASISDEAD.
Laura Welsh – Former Polydor artist, co-writer on Gorgon City’s ‘Here For You’, collaborations with John Legend, Greg Kurstin, Armin van Buuren.
Frank Colucci – Multi-instrumentalist & producer, worked with Tom Grennan, Ashnikko, Ethel Cain, Oh Wonder.
