Iconic East London venue Sebright Arms is the latest addition to the SON Estrella Galicia family - with the inaugural show as a partnership announced for June 26th featuring a headline set from Man / Woman / Chainsaw, with support from AtticOmatic.
This event works alongside a series of monthly gigs sponsored by the brand as well - with the next edition of this coming on May 10th ft. ELLiS·D.
SON Estrella Galicia is the musical arm of the family owned, independent Estrella Galicia beer brand specialising in creating unforgettable music and beer experiences since 2009. For two years they have been supporting independent venues and artists around East London, with 2025 set to see their biggest expansion yet - the event at Sebright Arms follows May’s team-up with Oslo, Hackney featuring Big Special, as part of a Dot To Dot festival warm-up.
Man/Woman/Chainsaw are a precociously talented five-piece from London. Since their debut at 16 years old the vans gave proved themselves as one of the most exciting and unpredictable young acts in the capital, both joyous and raucous in equal measures. Last year’s “What Lucy Found There” was to be their breakthrough, securing attention for the band from the likes of The Quietus, NME, The Line Of Best Fit, So Young, BBC 6 Music and more.
It signals the start proper for a band who have been allowed to experiment, given the time to find their sound and line-up in a vibrant, supportive DIY community, and who will surely finish the year ready to take on the next with unbridled confidence. With boundless potential like theirs, you’d not bet against them.
Brighton's AtticOmatic resists easy definition and quite literally dances on the edge of simplicity and discord. Each one of their five members weaves together threads of jazz, post-punk, hip-hop, folk, and electronica. The energy of their live shows resonate with a shared understanding of the pain and beauty of this world.
Alongside the live music - there will be one of SON Estrella Galicia’s trademark beer culture workshops - bringing one of the key pillars of the brand to bear in immersing UK audiences in Spanish nightlife.
Since 2009, SON Estrella Galicia has created events that offer a twist on the traditional concert experience in Spain, Brazil, Portugal, Mexico, Uruguay and the US. First coming to the UK in 2022 they have since established themselves as a key fixture on the gig calendar. In this, they share an ethos with Sebright Arms in being a vital platform for supporting independent artists and venues. Their second Soundhood event in London will take place on September 27th, across various Hackney venues, including Oslo.
