Cardiff's 'Marionette' release their brand single 'Dancing' which is out on all digital dsp's on the 21st November. 'Marionette' made their well received debut on the Adam Walton BBC Introducing in Wales show back in February with their on BBC Radio Wales with 'Your Hand', which was deemed an '...a powerful and impressive debut!' by Adam Walton.
Born out of late-night writing sessions and a shared love of sharp hooks and offbeat melodies, Marionette are an indie alternative rock band re-shaping the South Wales soundscape. Drawing on the punchy precision of The Strokes, The Bravery, and the experimental flair of Mini Mansions, the four-piece blend nostalgic charm with a fresh, modern edge.
What began as two childhood friends writing songs in a university house has evolved into a powerful, tight-knit band known for their dynamic performances and finely tuned songwriting. Their debut single “Your Hand” earned airplay on BBC Introducing, where Adam Walton praised it as a “powerful and impressive debut.” Follow-up single “You Always Come First” built on that momentum, showcasing their emotional depth and sonic confidence - both mastered by Iconic Cardiff Music Scene Producer Charlie Francis (R.E.M., Manic Street Preachers, Future Of The Left)
In 2025, Marionette are set to release their third single, “Dancing,” a bold and groove-driven track influenced by Mini Mansions.
