Montreal-Based Singer-Songwriter Guilhem Releases New Single "Hangover Cure" off Upcoming Album “A Good One Out” September 5; Mixed and Mastered by Frank Turner

Raw, unfiltered punk energy meets existential honesty in a bold new collection of songs, mixed & mastered by Frank Turner

"With a relaxed attitude and a hooky acoustic guitar melody, “Hangover Cure” is the perfect song to scare of the Sunday morning headache and nausea. With an equally relaxed attitude to the video, accompanied by a spinning camera, the video perfectly encapsulates the spirit of this song."- New Noise Magazine

Montreal-based singer/songwriter Guilhem has released the new single "Hangover Cure" off his upcoming deeply personal and emotionally charged new album, A GOOD ONE, out on September 5, 2025

“This song explores the different ways to overcome a hangover in some sort of quest for self-improvement,” Guilhem explains. “It’s about inadequacy and self-destructive behavior, but it also expresses a hopeful, yet uncertain, desire for a better future. I’ve been dreaming of making a video with a spinning camera for a while now. I’ve been shooting my own videos for a few years, but I never quite figured out how to pull it off, so I reached out to my friend Alex Charron for help. He was immediately down to have some fun with the idea. We shot it in about an hour, maybe an hour and a half, and then he took care of the editing. At first, I wanted the camera to spin the entire time, but Alex wisely pointed out that people would probably want to throw up after 15 seconds. He was absolutely right. I’m really happy with how it turned out: simple, easy, and visually super cool.”

Known for his raw lyricism, infectious melodies, and high-energy punk spirit, Guilhem has built a global following through tireless touring and unflinching honesty—both onstage and off.

With over 700 shows across 23 countries under his belt, Guilhem’s music bridges the intimate and the explosive. From his solo efforts to fronting the punk outfit Lost Love, he’s developed a signature blend of vulnerability and vigor that resonates across genres and borders.

“I didn’t really plan to write a cohesive album,” Guilhem explains. “At first, it was just a bunch of songs I needed to get out of my system. But somewhere along the way, it all started orbiting the same messy little galaxy of thoughts: the absurdity of being human right now.”

Mixed and mastered by acclaimed artist Frank Turner, A GOOD ONE captures that chaos with clarity. It’s an album for anyone who’s ever felt burnt out, overwhelmed, or like they’re just barely holding it together. Across tracks that wrestle with anxiety, small talk, hangovers, self-doubt, and the digital noise of modern life, Guilhem never loses sight of one thing: hope.

The rollout began with the cathartic first single, “Die Quietly” (released May 2), followed by the anthemic “Don’t Surrender” (June 13), and continues with “Hangover Cure” —complete with a new music video

A GOOD ONE is Guilhem’s most personal and powerful work to date—an album that doesn’t shy away from the mess, but sings right through it.
