Norwich’s Rudimentary Paste release new EP “Six Examples of the Wilhelm Scream”
In March, Norwich’s Rudimentary Paste unleashed a big, beautiful and entirely unhinged 7" single, That’s Why She Lost Her Job as a Blue Peter Presenter, via Weekend Offender Records. As infectious and upbeat a song about not drinking paint, eating soap or murderous bread can be.
Now they are back with a new e.p, Six Examples of the Wilhelm Scream out on 6th June 2025 in all the usual places. It's their first since joining forces with Socks On Records and it delivers another eclectic mix of daft fun, inside-out guitars and sneaky hard satire. Six slices of the finest foamcore pie, touching on grief, bigotry, love, the awfulness of Brexit mythology and life in a Sea Cucumber's anus all though the prism of B-movies, faded Hollywood glamour and the gritty menace of 1980s public service announcements.
