Ophelia's Beard debut single Red Sea - Out Nov now via Dirty Carrot Records

In the seven decades since Dylan went electric, folk-rock has been a shapeshifting presence in popular music and a window through which the most compelling artists have invited a startling array of influences. Ophelia’s Beard, a Cardiff based artist, has been making waves on the local scene with her blend of haunting melodies and high-energy backing. New single “Red Sea” is a persuasive manifesto for their brand of “folk with a bite”, with a breezy roots arrangement that gradually morphs into something altogether more sinister. Let’s take a moment to appreciate Ophelia’s soaring vocals – fans of First Aid Kit and Florence + The Machine take note: we’ve found your new favourite band. “Red Sea” is out now on all major streaming platforms via Dirty Carrot Records.
