Paul Stone & The Basement Collective Release New Single ‘Embers’

Yorkshire’s Paul Stone & The Basement Collective return this autumn with “Embers” — a glowing slice of modern analogue jazz that celebrates connection, authenticity, and the fire that keeps us human.

Led by vocalist, songwriter and producer Paul Stone, the track was recorded live in the band’s self-built basement studio, centred around a vintage Neve console and the chemistry of musicians performing together in one room.

Already making waves across the jazz scene, “Embers” has been championed by Robbie Vincent on his Music Garden show on Jazz FM, praised for its soulful production and message.

2025 has marked a powerful comeback year for Paul, following time away from the spotlight to look after his family. The band has since earned strong radio support from Jazz FM, BBC Introducing, BBC Radio Leeds, CBC Canada, Radio 2 Hong Kong, and KCSM in the US. Editors at Spotify have also organically featured the group on and off the UK Jazz playlist, with festival appearances in 2026 now on the horizon.

With more original releases already lined up, Paul Stone & The Basement Collective continue to carve out a distinctive voice within the UK’s evolving jazz landscape — blending heartfelt songwriting, inventive arranging, and a deep love of analogue sound.
