Psychedelic punk masters Circle 60 return with new single 'Along The Way'

CIRCLE 60 NEW SINGLE “ALONG THE WAY” RELEASED
“HELLA MORGAN” ANNOUNCED AS 229 SUPPORT

Hot on the heels of their recent single “The Sonic Invisible” – Circle 60 have today launched ANOTHER release today - “Along The Way” – again taken from their forthcoming opus-rex long-player “Gods Of Dimension”, to be released on October 24th.

Along The Way” is another blast of their now-trademark “psychodelic future-drenched Sci-Fi laden punk-rock n’ roll” and comes with a classic swirling-whirling “kosmonaut-of disturbance” video visualizer.

They’ll be playing this and other choice cuts at The Sonic Invisible club, in London, on October 23rd. Also joining Circle 60 are their hand-picked support for the night “Hella Morgan” who’ll be bringing their own brand of “spooky, heavy, Tarantino-soundtrack Rock n Roll for lost souls and bad things”.

With essences of the early Who, The Damned and Robert Calvert-era Hawkwind mixed up with Queens Of The Stone Age and a dirty dose of The Monkees - new single ‘Along The Way’ displays all of the now distinctive Circle 60 filthy charms – rip-roaring guitars, Sci-Fi sonic FX, explosive drums & tremor-inducing bass coupled with speed-driven vocals and guitar-tones that can only be described as “liquid asteroids.” This is seismic activity in the key of Sex Beatles.

It’s a snakebite ‘n black of a song that sets out to seduce and destroy any opponent – and marks another fantastic teaser from the long-awaited new album, which promises to be a gold-plated ear-destroyer.

“Along The Way - that song is about someone realising that karma is coming back on them and so they start panicking and taking loads of drugs. Capeesh? ” – states Circle 60’s frontman and guitarist, Ade Emsley.

It’s recorded at 432Hz and produced by the band’s own Morgan Nicholls at his Decatone Studios. The phazers on this one are set to fully stun. But wait…what’s this?

SAWNOFF SHOTGOLD – DEBUT ALBUM UP NOW ON DSPS

Also released today online – in full for the first time – is the entire of the Circle 60 debut “SawnOff ShotGold”. Previously only available as a twin vinyl-only release – this was the first introduction to the mashed-up hi-octane “punk-rock-meets-psychedelia” sound that became the Circle 60 signature sonic armoury. Use that volume-knob wisely, “Roger”.

“... a psychedelic space adventure for the 21st century, Sawn Off Shot Gold gives us something we haven’t had, in what feels like, a long time; a confident, well-articulated concept from a rock band – like the Pretty Things’ S.F. Sorrow borne out of Brexit. Anger and frustration are wrapped up with the yearning for psychic adventures and love, and perhaps a bunch of drugs...” - The 13th Floor

“Circle 60 have recorded a hugely enjoyable psychedelic punk-pop album that references everyone from Love to Terence McKenna. “Drive, Drive, Drive” is the kind of soaring harmonic rock anthem a young Pete Townshend might have wished he'd written. Kaftan-tastic!- Shindig! Magazine

“With a new record that’s somehow both louder and wiser, and a live show that blends chaos, charm, and compressor pedals, Circle60 are proof that age doesn’t dull the blade—it just teaches you where to stick it. Catch them before they forget why they came.”

432 – THE HARMONIC TUNING OF THE UNIVERSE
Like other musicians and mystics have previously dabbled with – Jimi Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Mozart, Bob Marley – everything that Circle 60 have every written or recorded, or played live, is in 432 tuning. The reason?

Singer Ade Emsley expands:

“432 is the original tuning before the system changed it to 440 in 1953. Old instruments such as vintage violins don't work right at 440 and have to be tuned to 432. A harpsichord will implode if tuned up to 440. Everything biological resonates referenced to 432, so the system changed it to 440 to decouple us and make us weaker and easier to control. Right? So we do 432.”

Circle 60 spokesperson “The Octopus” continued: “432. It’s a more natural – human – resonance. Some say the 432Hz aligns with the “vibrations of the universe,”. The Schumann Resonance works alongside and in harmony, in sync, with this. The Schumann resonance, primarily at 7.83 Hz, is a set of electromagnetic frequencies naturally occurring in the Earth's ionosphere. These frequencies are generated by lightning discharges and are basically the Earth's natural electromagnetic frequency. The Earth's own "heartbeat”. That’s where the good stuff happens.

Some *alternative medicines* even claim that 432Hz music can heal the body and align the mind. Keep it ticking along all crystal-clear like. For that reason, a decision was implanted back in the ‘50s to “disharmonize” the people by standardising all tuning to 440Hz, as a way of say…controlling the populations. 440Hz disconnects us from universal harmony, while 432Hz brings clarity and unity.”

Circle 60 are taking no chances.

“We don’t even listen to music played at 440. We prefer to agitate and disharmonise people in 432. It’s more… “mindful”. The next album we’re going to record at 963 Hz – The Jesus Christ Frequency. With the right mix, I think we can bring him back. On spoons. If he’s got a tambourine, he’s in the band. Anyway – Rockefeller and those cats started this. Mind control and mental unrest. We’re just swinging it back the other way. The time – as always - is now.”

CIRCLE 60 ARE LIVE!

Circle 60 – with support from Hella Morgan - will be imploding harpsichords by playing “Gods of Dimension” plus more at the “The Sonic Invisible” - 229 Great Portland St, London W1W 5PN on October 23rd.
