RinRin Releases Debut Album ‘The Nut House’ + Video for ‘Killher’ on Year of the Rat Records
RinRin is the musical project of Filipino-born and Australian-based singer-songwriter and guitarist Qarin Hipe. Taking cues from luminaires BABYMETAL, Poppy and Bring Me The Horizon, RinRin creates her own unique brand of pop-punk and metal that expounds infectious energy. Since bursting onto the scene in 2020 with her debut single ‘The Game’, the 20-year-old has had a quick trajectory and shared stages with artists such as Windwaker, Redhook, Reliqa, The Plot In You, ERRA, Caskets, The Home Team, and To Octavia. More recently she joined Walk-Off The Earth's 6 city arena tour in China in April 2024. In her rapid rise, RinRin has signed to Year Of The Rat Records and since seen support from BBC Radio 1 Rock Show, Metal Hammer, MTV Gonzo (Video Of The Week), Triple J, Spotify (Including multiple playlist covers), Apple Music, Amazon Music, Pandora, TIDAL, and Deezer. The highly anticipated debut album ‘The Nut House’ is now released on 12th September 2025.
In this splintered universe of the RinRin multiverse, Rin has become consumed by a delusion so intense it overrides reason. This version of Rin doesn’t crave love — she craves possession. Her Rinnite-fused mind has warped desire into obsession, anchoring itself to a singular thought: he should belong to her, and her alone. He was kind. He paid attention. Maybe once. Maybe it meant nothing to him — but to her, it meant everything. Now, she watches him from the shadows. She learns every detail, wears his clothes, memorizes his scent. Anyone who dares step into his light is a threat to be erased. In her world, she isn’t the villain. She’s the guardian. The angel of mercy willing to do what others won’t — to protect what’s hers. Even if that means blood. Even if that means graves. They whisper that she’s unhinged. That she’s a killer. But she calls it fate. She calls it love.
