Saskatchewan Songwriter Nick Faye Embraces Patience and the Promise of Good Love on Triumphant New Single "Wait Around"

Nick Faye is a songwriter from Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada, living on Treaty 4 Territory. His new single, “Wait Around,” is a jangly, heartfelt reflection on dating in your thirties, mourning the end of relationships with people on different life paths, and remaining patient and optimistic that good love is still out there.
Fusing indie, pop, and rock with the hopes, dreams, and quiet frustrations of life lived on the Canadian Prairies, “Wait Around” feels like an open conversation with the self. It’s the fourth single from Faye’s forthcoming album, (Good) Love, which arrives September 26th, 2025.
“Wait Around” was inspired by navigating dating in early-to-mid thirties, and coming to terms with the fact that even profound love isn’t always enough to sustain a relationship headed in two different directions. As Faye puts it, the song is “a self-dialogue preaching patience and acceptance in the belief that good love is worth waiting for, as long as you’re honest with yourself and others.”

With an undeniable love of mid-90s pop rock, his music lingers like a prairie snowdrift – slow to melt, always revealing something hopeful underneath.
“Wait Around” was recorded, mixed, and produced by Chris Dimas. It was mastered by Ryan Morey. Nick Faye (vocals, guitar), Byron Chambers (bass), Landon Leibel (drums), Jon Neher (keyboards), and Jesse Bryksa (guitar) performed on the song.
