SINGLE REVIEW: Dr. Peel - You'll Never Know

Funky, psychedelia and arty Essex based musician Dr Peel serves up some infectious, surreal sounds on latest single 'You'll Never Know'.

Curious groove, DIY vibe with influences from the 60's and feeling of an acid trip where the trees suddenly come to life. If music were a colour 'You Never Know' would be the most beautiful vision of technicolour.

It's hypnotic and addictive. It's like the best trip you've ever been on. Epic riffs, deconstructed sound and infectious energy. Dr Peel's vocals have a Garage Rock vibe with a hint of flamboyance. 'You'll Never Know' is confident, extroverted and unique. It offers the listener a soundscape of eccentricities and an insight into Dr. Peel's slightly weird mind.

Combining the hallucinatory sounds of the 60's with a surfy jangle that could be likened to the Beach Boys 'You'll Never Know’ borrows Britpop melodies to produce an overall sound that's unique to Dr Peel. A quirky, fun listen that I definitely recommend!
