Spleen United Puts Emotional Pain on Repeat

‘Miss You Like Crazy’ marks a bold new chapter for one of Denmark’s most innovative acts - a hard-hitting, euphoric, techno-infused anthem out now via Virgin Records.

Press play and you enter a hazy, dreamlike, and escapist world. With sprawling, introverted soundscapes that merge rock and electronica, Spleen United commands your full attention - yet they pulse with a frantic energy, like waves of strobe lights.

The five-piece has a rare gift for fusing pounding beats with heavy lyrical Weltschmerz, and ‘Miss You Like Crazy’ is no exception.

“It was written out of loss and a constant feeling of longing - but seen as something beautiful. Like emotional pain on repeat, and a realization that the longing will be forever,” says lead singer Bjarke Niemann.

The single marks Spleen United’s first release since last year’s trippy yet calm and warm album, The Blur of Zebras’. With ‘Miss You Like Crazy’, the band leans into a more radical, dance- and rave-inspired sound.

“As a group, we feel more on point than ever,” Niemann adds. “We’ve tapped into a shared energy through a liberating creative process, where everything has been up in the air. It’s led to a wave of new music that feels right, powerful, and heavy.”

Spleen United is a multi-award-winning Danish band consisting of Bjarke Niemann (vocals and production), Gaute Niemann (bass), Kasper Nørlund (synths), Rune Wehner (synths), and Jens Kinch (drums). They’ve released four groundbreaking and widely acclaimed albums - including their debut Godspeed Into the Mainstream’, which they’ll be touring this December.
