Washington D.C.’s rising folk-rock collective Stephen Sol & The 7 have released their highly anticipated debut EP, Sunshine Wine. Blending psychedelic folk-rock with alternative grit and a soulful touch, the nine-piece ensemble delivers a record that feels as warm and intoxicating as its title.
Fronted by singer-songwriter Stephen Sol, the band channels influences from The Beatles, Dave Matthews Band, Bo Burnham, CAKE, and Bob Dylan, creating music that is raw, joyful, and unafraid to veer into the unexpected. Raised on Johnny Cash and Elvis by his grandfather “Boots,” frontman Stephen Sol found his voice through a secondhand guitar and an obsession with The Beatles and My Morning Jacket.
