Teesside Band Middle Management Wage War on Stainless Steel Bollards

The Teesside four piece Middle Management will release their second track, "Do We Have Anything Left to Say" from the forthcoming EP Detail Death.

The track is a commentary on the death of detail in design and architecture. Owing to cost constraints and the proliferation of AI and machine learning in design, the song discusses the increasingly utilitarian aspects of the world around us. It warns people that soon, there will be no Greco-Roman or Rocco touches, and that instead, a wasteland of stainless steel bollards awaits us.

It was inspired by the Humanise campaign, which is waging a war against the 100-year war rise in boring architecture.

Boring buildings deprive us of crucial sensory information. They cause stress. They make us antisocial. They change how we feel and how we behave.   - The Humanise Campaign

Their previous track, Influencer Influenza, received rave reviews and was championed by former BBC Introducing tastemaker Tom Robinson, along with the Introducing team themselves.

Is available on Spotify and Apple Music now, with a video to follow.
