The Casbahs share single ‘Electric Daydreams’
THE CASBAHS are a five-piece guitar-driven indie rock band from the North East, carrying the spirit of Britain’s great guitar bands from the 80s, 90s and 00s into the present day. With jangly riffs, soaring choruses, walls of noise and unapologetically big solos, their sound is both nostalgic and fresh — unmistakably British, with a classic edge.
Formed in late 2019 by vocalist Niall Fenwick and guitarist Joe Teasdale, the band’s early singles So Happy and Wanderlust set the tone before the release of debut EP Sea or Sky. After delays brought by the pandemic, their debut album Been Here Before arrived in 2022, featuring fan favourites Insomniac and Out of Luck. Since then, The Casbahs have grown into a powerful live act, playing shows across the North East and picking up support from BBC Introducing.
Now joined by lead guitarist Steven Grainger, The Casbahs are gearing up for their most ambitious chapter yet. Their new single Electric Daydreams — out September 19 — is a huge, feel-good anthem with a chorus that lifts you sky-high and a solo that blasts you straight back down to earth. It's about seeing the world from greater heights and that's the intended feeling when listening to it. It begins a series of tracks building up to their long awaited second album
