The Hushdown Announces New Album: "Inherit the Night" - out 09/09/25 and share single ‘Good for You’
The Hushdown, an art rock band known for their eclectic, guitar-driven sound, is ecstatic to announce the release of their highly anticipated new album, "Inherit the Night", on September 5, 2025. The 12-track record explores themes of social justice, love, the social media echo chamber, and personal freedom—showcasing the band’s evolving sonic landscape.
"Inherit the Night" was recorded at Wright Way Studios in Baltimore and produced by Jeremy Hicks-Kachik, with engineering and mixing by Steve Wright.
“We’re so, so excited to show our fans what we’ve been cooking up in the studio this time—it’s spectacular,” says lead vocalist Kali Hinkel. “It’s a culmination of a lot of long nights, tight deadlines, and collaboration, and we feel it really represents who we are as a band right now.”
Lead guitarist Jeremy Hicks-Kachik adds: “I love this record. Most of these songs were written and then workshopped during live performances, and I think that energy is really injected into the album. The recording process was a completely different experience from our last three albums, and the songs feel fresh—but at the same time nostalgic—and still feature our trademark eclecticism.”
The album will be available on all major streaming platforms, including Spotify, Apple Music, iHeartRadio, and iTunes, as well as for digital download via Apple, Amazon Music, and other major services. Physical copies, including CD and vinyl, will be available at live shows and through wider online distribution at a later date.

Formed in 2008 in Hollywood, CA, The Hushdown is an art rock band known for its genre-bending sound and hard-hitting lyrics. They’ve released three previous albums/EPs and toured extensively across the United States, always centred around the creative core of Jeremy Hicks-Kachik and Kali Hinkel.
