Welcome again to the world of The Sha Sha Shanimals. Formed out of turbulence and stupid f'kin chaos, the band is fronted by writer/artist Siân Pattenden (ex-100% Ponies), and joined by Louis Jones (ex-Warm Jets), Dan Farrow (ex-Oslo) and Camila de la Vega (top flight Argentinian drumming powerhouse). Together they make urgent, oddly euphoric noise-pop for a world on fire.
Following the release of their debut track “Dumb Contortion,” the band now share “Best Dressed Chicken in Town”, the other half of their double A-side 7”, out September 2 via Agent Anonyme Records - the independent label founded by Daphne Guinness.

Says Sian, “Best Dressed Chicken in Town - taking succour but nothing more from the Dr Alimantado song title - is a song that was written in a dressing gown by twin souls torn apart by the monotony of the everyday. Wild by nature, untrammelled and yes - semi-clothed, the song yaws like a boat caught on a furious body of water. Emotions ride high but this is a catchy little number and melody wins the day. To whit: when you're the best dressed chicken in town, nothing ever gets you down.”
THE PAST: 2024. Siân Pattenden had had enough, much of life was in pieces. So she did the only thing any reasonable person could do, she wrote songs and formed a band. Somehow, within months, The Sha Sha Shanimals found themselves at RAK Studios, mixing tracks and eating cola cubes. Hand-typed press release attached.
