The Stray Pursuit release electrifying new single 'Coming Home' on the 16th of October
'Coming Home' is the electrifying new single from emerging Swansea band The Stray Pursuit. Produced and recorded by Grammy-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda in Long Wave Recording Studios, Cardiff, this blistering rock anthem is rife with explosive guitar riffs and powerful, emotive vocals that bristle with a wake-up call. It echoes the incendiary passion, hooks and melodicism of Fall Out Boy or Green Day.
The band say "Coming Home" exposes the illusion of freedom in a world shaped by government control and media deception. A powerful reflection on waking up to the truth behind the lies. "Coming Home" isn't about returning to safety; it's about waking up, breaking the spell, and realising that home was never what they said it was."
The Stray Pursuit emerges as a dynamic force in the realm of Alternative Rock. Known for their enthralling live performances featuring guitar-driven riffs and captivating vocals. Inspired by bands like Royal Blood, Foo Fighters, and Nothing But Thieves, their music resonates with all who love Rock.
They have supported Andrew Cushin, The K's, and Vida, and played alongside the likes of The Lottery Winners, Pastel, and Trampolene, just to name a few. TSP were featured on This Feeling's Big in 2025, and played This Feeling's stage at The Isle of Wight Festival 2025. They’ve also been longlisted as ones to watch as part of the ‘Class of 2025’ for Drowned in Sound in association with Music Venue Alliance.
The four-piece consisted of frontman Aaron Morgan, lead guitarist Dylan Cooney, bassist Fred Wilkinson, and drummer Nicholas Bevan. Tragedy struck when founding drummer Nicky Bevan passed away in December 2022. The devastating loss catalysed a renewed purpose for the band: to honour Nicky's legacy and prove their potential for greatness. He is missed dearly and will be forever cherished by so many people. Ben Lewis joined the lads in April 2023 and completed the current line-up.
A new chapter unfolded at Longwave Studios in Cardiff, where they collaborated with Grammy and Mercury-nominated producer Romesh Dodangoda to record their debut EP ‘Domino Effect’, along with numerous other singles. After the EP was released on December 8th, 2023, the boys went on a South Wales tour, selling out Cwrw, Carmarthen, and the final date at The Moon, Cardiff. The boys have also sold out numerous headline shows in their hometown venue ‘The Bunkhouse’, the most recent one being in June 2025 ahead of their IOW appearance.
TSP are due to headline Clwb Ifor Bach on October 24th. The show is looking to be yet another sell out, confirming their active presence in the South Wales music scene!
