THUNDERCLAP Unveils "FORCED TO WALKING" – The Official Music Video from an 18-Year-Long Journey of artistic perseverance
In a surprising twist of fate and creative rejuvenation, THUNDERCLAP, plagued by his bizarrely disastrous adventures in filmmaking, has finally released his long-awaited project: the official music video for Forced to Walking.
Filmmaking has long been a test of endurance—David Lynch’s Eraserhead famously took five years to complete, while Richard Linklater’s Boyhood set records with its 12-year production timeline. Yet Forced to Walking surpasses both, originating as a feature film produced in 2007, making it an 18-year-long project. This peculiar saga stands as a testament to THUNDERCLAP’s persistence, resilience, and defiance of the entertainment industry’s many challenges.
A black comedy of errors, the story behind Forced to Walking began in 2007, when THUNDERCLAP had just returned to Niagara Falls from living as an actor in New York City. Quickly roped into the production as the lead actor, co-producer, and an unwitting executive producer, he soon found himself abandoned—left holding the unedited footage and financial debts. While avoiding defamation against others, THUNDERCLAP admits there is no one to blame but himself. However, through years of reflection, he has gained invaluable wisdom, recognizing the power of recycling and repurposing past projects into new works of art.
The official music video marks the culmination of years of hard work and a deep dive into THUNDERCLAP’s artistic process. It tells the poignant and poetic story of Lorne, a hopeless lone wolf who, despite losing everything that matters to him, continues to push forward.
Lorne's journey spirals downward as he watches his family slip away, yet remains resilient in his struggle. Trapped in a loop of loneliness and confusion, he ultimately finds beauty and purpose within his internal chaos—a theme deeply resonating with THUNDERCLAP’s own troubled history during the project’s evolution. The music video explores the complex emotional landscape of isolation, resilience, and life’s bittersweet challenges.
Reflecting on the journey, THUNDERCLAP shares:
"When I recently opened up the safe that held all the various hard drives of narrative & behind-the-scenes footage, the countless production notes, & original receipts, all the memories flooded back. I realized not only were there a lot of people to apologize to, but there were also a lot of people to honor by simply turning these lemons into cinematic lemonade."
The official music video for Forced to Walking is now available for streaming, inviting audiences to experience this one-of-a-kind project—born from years of shame, psychological anguish, perseverance, and, most importantly, an unyielding commitment to artistic expression and excellence.
