San Demas Release Their Most Ambitious EP Yet — The Valley Out Now
Fresh from 2000trees Festival, UK Melodic Metal Band Drop Their Biggest Songs to Date
UK alternative rock outfit San Demas are proud to release their third EP, The Valley — available now on all streaming platforms. Arriving hot on the heels of two unforgettable sets at the award-winning 2000trees Festival, The Valley captures the emotional highs and lows of the band’s journey with their heaviest and most hopeful material yet.
Described by the band as “songs of struggle but also a lot of hope,” The Valley explores the emotional terrain of life’s lowest points — the valley — and the strength it takes to climb toward something greater. Featuring standout tracks "You & I," "Wait and Wonder," "All In On Me," and "Borrowed Time," the EP showcases San Demas’ boldest and most diverse songwriting to date.
Each track on this remarkable EP began with instrumental writing from guitarist Rich McKee, while the vocal melodies and lyrics were penned by different members of the band. “It reflects our identity — a collaborative and constantly evolving group, united by a shared vision but defined by distinct voices,” the band explains.
Since forming in 2021, San Demas have built a reputation for their massive riffs, anthemic choruses, and emotionally-charged breakdowns. Drawing inspiration from acts like Paramore, Saosin, The Used, and Plini, the band blends heavy guitars with pop overtones and post-hardcore urgency. Their sound has earned national attention, including spins on BBC Radio 1 with Alyx Holcombe, BBC Introducing with Alex West, and coverage in PowerPlay Magazine (8/10 review).
After two EPs produced by Justin Hill (Architects, Bury Tomorrow, SikTh), The Valley marks a turning point in the band’s evolution — both musically and emotionally.
‘The Valley’ is available now on all streaming platforms.
