Untethered teen abandon rips through the latest single from prodigious punk three-piece, Revivalry as they release Kick Off, a buzzsaw love letter to leaving it all behind at the weekend. Just the second song to emerge from the tipped, frenetic and fun newcomers this year, the band leads with the incessant anthem to announce the release of their debut EP, Modern Nostalgia on Fri 30 May 2025.

Discovered where they belong, on stage and in full flight, Revivalry’s near instant ascension to festival main stage contenders, before they’d even left school, established their reputation as a must-see live band. Giving a growing fanbase more of what they expect, Revivalry have also announced an additional four UK live dates, starting in Sheffield on Fri 20 June 2025, adding to summer dates including their Kendal Calling return.

Making drop-shoulder swerves around any coagulated music scene and concentrating on the simple thrills of playing together, Revivalry’s newest release follows the primal alt-rock of Lost released in March. Where that track dwelled on the anxiety of lost time and settling for second best, Kick Off carries the rush of a pitch side Saturday over a three-minute wave of squally guitars and incisive lyricism.

“’Kick Off’ is about Saturday afternoons at the match with your mates,” says bassist and singer, Joshua Corfield. “The pre-game meetup, the matchday rituals, the build-up, the camaraderie, the joy, the anguish and the desire to do it all again next week.  Almost tribal, our behaviour is fuelled by shared emotions, group identification, love, hate and a burning desire for victory.”

Calling the Lincolnshire seaside town of Cleethorpes home, Revivalry – completed by drummer, Lewis Hubbert and guitarist and vocalist, Ben Townsend – look out into a big, wide world of dialled-up-to-ten alt-rock influences such as Rage Against The Machine and Bring Me The Horizon, as well as indie mainstays, such as Arctic Monkeys and Supergrass, to formulate their own, urgent sound.

Leaving room amongst the riffs for stories and reflections that make sense to both fellow teenagers and everyone who has lived through long weekends of youth, the band’s familial live shows are known to swallow ticket-buyers up into an atmosphere of communal release. With everything to look forward to this summer, all of the current Revivalry UK Tour dates, including the four newly announced, are as follows:

Fri 30 May - Derby, The Hairy Dog, supporting Shambolics

Fri 20 June – Sheffield, Sidney & Matila – NEW DATE

Wed 25 June – Nottingham, Bodega Bar – NEW DATE

Thu 26 June – Manchester, Eagle Inn – NEW DATE

Fri 27 June – Grimsby, Spider's Web – NEW DATE

Sat 19 July – Newent. New Heights Festival

Fri 1 August – Kendal, Kendal Calling

Sat 23 August – Alcester, Camper Calling

Transferring their energy from the stage to the studio, 2024 brought the first Revivalry songs to streaming platforms with The Town and Two Sips, showing that indefinable magic that exists within the band and amongst their audiences could be captured on tape. Those two songs join the track-listing of the forthcoming Modern Nostalgia EP released via those same streaming and download outlets, but also on limited edition sea blue 12” vinyl released on Fri 20 June 2025.

“’Modern Nostalgia’ is our nod to the bands that influenced, and still influence, us from before we were born combined with the current artists who we love,” continues Corfield. “Many of those people we are proud to have met, become friends and worked with. It’s a collection of our songs that we love playing live and get a great reaction when we do.  If you have seen our show, you have probably danced, moshed or sang along to these songs already.”

The track listing for the Modern Nostalgia EP has been confirmed by the band as follows:

1. The Town
2. Kick Off
3. Blue Underground
4. Lost
5. Two Sips
