Young Martyrs reveal new single ‘Everyone Else Disappears’

Bath-based alt-americana four-piece Young Martyrs return with the release of their new single ‘Everyone Else Disappears’, released TODAY, June 20th 2025.

Formed in 2020, Young Martyrs released their debut self-titled album that same year. Their coinciding debut headline tour saw them sell out shows throughout the UK, which led to them sharing the stage with the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, The Hooziers and McFly, as well as playing slots at a variety of festivals including Glastonbury and Rock Oyster. Their second album ‘Time Is Not On Our Side’ was released in 2023, expanding their fanbase beyond the UK and saw them playing shows across New York City.

Their latest single ‘Everyone Else Disappears’ was produced with Sebastian Brice (Indefra Studios) at Real World Studios with additional recording by Ed Oleszko at Vintage Tone Factory. The track combines introspective lyrics and nostalgia-laden melodies, lyrically delving into the feelings surrounding unrequited love.

On the track’s subject matter, vocalist Tom Corneill explains, “These are the words of someone who’s been looking at the object of their affection for too long and from too far away. He wants to know what life would look like if they shared it, but it’s a dream that’s just too far away; Too many rules, too many people in the way. This is the song that spills out of him when it’s becoming too much. It’s the life you could have if only that person knew what was happening inside your head.”
