London, UK (August 11, 2021) - Today, alt-pop duo Nox Holloway released their single, ‘The Reds’ alongside the video from their debut EP, ‘If Only The World Didn’t Spin So Much’ due September 24. In discussing the song, Nox Holloway said, "we wanted to keep the listener guessing as the song progresses, with disruptive but intentional placements of guitar and other sounds. The conversational nature of the lyrics is meant to feel personal and a bit apprehensive, creating an aura of intrigue." LISTEN / STREAM HERE Formed by two college friends, Parker Matthews (percussion, pianist) and Bruce Vanhook (songwriter, vocalist) blended their musical talents for the upcoming EP from their poetic lyricism, drums, piano, keys to Vanhook’s ukulele – his primary songwriting instrument. Today Nox Holloway also launched a custom ukulele giveaway painted by director and artist Lonewolf (Trippie Redd, Lil Uzi Vert, Brent Faiyaz, Future) running on Tunespeak. Fans can enter to win now through to October 1st.

The 7-track EP is more than a collection of songs. It's a world of stories and poetry that can't fully be told without the musicianship that brings the lyrics to life on singles such as “Separate Ways,” about that summer love fade out, and paying homage to the iconic Audrey Hepburn on “Audrey.” “Our debut EP has a lot of different sounds and feels,” said Nox Holloway. “All with the goal to start bringing everyone into our world and show who Nox Holloway is. We’re so excited to share it with you.” The two undergrads turned lemons into lemonade when Covid-19 forced one of them to return home early from his period of studying in London. They found that together they have the skills they needed to write the kind of songs that previously only existed in their imaginations. They recorded remotely from their home studio in South Carolina, London, and Nashville. Using voice notes and mountains of text messages to shape their sound to create their first songs. The name Nox Holloway is a combination of the Latin word for ‘night’ and the street in London where they found inspiration. Parker Mathews is a producer whose musical experience started with playing drums and, like any true percussionist, evolved into pianos and keys with a range spanning 10 instruments. Bryce Vanhook is a songwriter, lyricist, and vocalist who is as likely to find inspiration strumming his ukulele as he is in the flow of hip hop by his idols."
