Click Roll Boom: What five words would you use to describe the band?
Pink Lemonade: Fun, energetic, lively, sparkly, bubbly.
CRB: How did Pink Lemonade form?
PL: We’re sisters! When our high school band grew apart we knew we wanted to try something original and just make it super fun.
CRB: Who are your biggest influences?
PL: We both adore McFly. We’ve seen them live 13 times and just love their songs. Perfect guitar pop!
CRB: What have been the highlights of your career so far?
PL: Before Christmas, we were invited to play at a Primary School Talent Show which was a really special gig. It was the first time a lot of the kids had seen live music and they were so excited!
CRB: What does the future hold for the band?
PL: We are really excited to keep gigging and making music with each other in the future! It’s so fun jamming together and we always have smiles on our faces when playing our instruments. We plan to continue doing what we love and it would be awesome to play more summer festivals in 2023 as this is what we enjoy most. We love being a small part of something big where we can play our set and go and explore and discover other music, food and cool stuff you find at festivals.
CRB: What are you working on at the moment?
PL: At the moment we’re mostly just looking forward to and enjoying the gigs we have booked from now until end of the summer season. We won a day recording session at BurySOUND band competition last year so will hopefully make use of that soon and record and release another single once we have a song ready.
CRB: Shameless plug for your latest album/single….
PL: Our latest single was released in February 2022 and it’s called ‘First Date’. You can stream and/or download from all major digital platforms. Here’s a link for some of the more popular ones: https://distrokid.com/hyperfollow/pinklemonade/first-date
