Ferdous

Since stepping out front and centre with his personal independent project, Afghan-Dutch artist, writer and producer Ferdous has been finding fans in the likes of Billboard, i-D, Spotify US and The Line Of Best Fit.

Originally finding success in pop duo Klyne, Ferdous’ integral part in writing and producing their self-titled debut album earned them support slots with the likes of Metronomy and Christine and the Queens and alongside his electronica alter ego Turbo Recordings-signee TRACE7000, Ferdous’ musical journey continues to take a variety of impressive turns.

Now, he returns with his forthcoming EP ‘Doors’, crafting a soundscape built upon woozy mellow and uplifting R&B sonics. This independent project as Ferdous is the result of wanting to pursue an outlet to express the roots of his musical identity.

EN:VY

Inspired by the likes of Alix Perez, Bredren, Calibre and Skeptical, Jean took up the craft of production back in 2016, having started spinning decks at only 13 years of age. In 2019 he then decided to pursue a degree for music production at BIMM in the Drum and Bass mecca Bristol. Precise, dark, mystic but melodic productions await, paired with both, minimalistic and rolling elements, they constitute a sound profile that goes full circle

It wasn’t long before his early releases on Flexout Audio and Overview Music reeled in breakthrough support from top tier names like Arkaik, Bredren, Fre4knc, Halogenix, IMANU, Noisia, QZB and many others, underpinning En:vy’s challenge on Drum and Bass’s status quo. Thanks to his unique, but decisive style, he has been triggering goose bumps with his tunes ever since. His latest Binary EP released on Critical is just another testament to that. En:vy 22, is far from done.

The John Martyn Project

The John Martyn Project is a special project comprised of Blythe Pepino, Kit Hawes, Pete Josef, Sam Brookes, John Blakeley and Jon Short, six artists coming together to celebrate the music of John Martyn. Each brings their own story and connection to John’s music which adds to the fabric of the overall experience of the project.

This diversity of different musical paths of the musicians recreate the many different aspects and eras of Martyn’s music and is delivered in a sensitive and poignant manner. In the wake of a special sold out show in 2018 at the Jazz Cafe in London the project was cemented with a UK wide tour in 2019. 2020 saw the project tour major concert venues in The Netherlands and 2021 the group have been a firm fixture on the festival circuit. 2022 will see the group diversify to bring you a musical journey through the much loved and lesser known John Martyn compositions as well as some tunes from his contemporaries.

Oli XL

Oli XL, signed to Warp Records is an experimental musician from Stockholm. After slowly becoming a key voice in the leftfield club sphere, and appearing in compilations such as PAN’s “Mono No Aware”, Oli vastly expanded the world of his already distinguished sound with the release of his debut album “Rogue Intruder, Soul Enhancer” in 2019, to critical acclaim.

With a dissected freehand approach to the rhythms of the UK rave continuum, fragmented sampling techniques are paired with personal field recordings & processed vocals, resulting in a bizarre but emotionally rich musical universe recalling the playfulness of Basement Jaxx as much as humorless glitch.

Following a small set of vocal driven live shows diving deeper into the album’s pop sensibility, Oli has spent the last year carefully crafting a new collection of music… TBA.
