NEW SINGLE - Grace Davies Releases 'testosterone' (Written By Lauren Aquilina, Prod. By Lostboy)

“A remarkable talent.” THE SUNDAY TIMES “[Grace Davies’] soulful pop vocals bring her poetic lyrics to life.” – MTV UK

[May 28th, 2021] Singer Grace Davies releases her breathtaking new single ‘testosterone’, available to buy and stream now via Believe. This is the first release from her highly anticipated second EP, out this year. Written by Lauren Aquilina (Demi Lovato, Rina Sawayama, Gabrielle Aplin) and produced by Lostboy (Griff, Bebe Rexha, Tom Grennan, Rita Ora) - the delicate piano production on ‘testosterone’ unwraps a vulnerable Grace whose heartfelt, ethereal vocal focuses on the poignant, relatable lyrics of infidelity and accepting poor excuses like “boys will be boys” to keep a relationship alive. Singer-songwriter Grace says: “Sometimes you come across a song that you wish you’d written, and this is one of them. Written by one of my close pals Lauren Aquilina - who I wrote two songs off my last EP with, along with Lostboy who also produced it - I literally begged Lauren for this song. I instantly connected with the lyrics, and sonically it is just so ‘me’. I’m so appreciative to Lauren and Lostboy for letting me have this one, and as a songwriter myself I always said a song I hadn’t written would have to be super special for me to take it - and special it is!” Following on from her earlier original release this year ‘i met a boy online’ - played in MTV’s new series of Catfish UK - Grace also unveiled her unmissable cover of The Goo Goo Dolls ‘iris,’ which was impressively recorded in one take and featured in the 2020 finale of ITV’s hit show Love Island. 2020 marked the start of a new era in Grace’s career with the release of her successful debut EP Friends With The Tragic, and established her reputation as a deft songwriter. Davies has received praise from the likes of MTV UK, The Sunday Times, Official Charts, Popjustice, DORK and Girls Are Awesome. She has also gained support from BBC Introducing, BBC 6 Music and BBC Radio 1 DJ, Danny Howard. After an extensive time in the studio writing for other artists and teaching herself music production – Grace Davies continues to make her mark as a fearless, young pop artist to watch in 2021. More to be revealed soon.
